About Mitzy's

Mitzy’s is a large, bright and spacious room that can hold up to 12 children. We are always keen to welcome new friends.

Building a bond with your child

Children are assigned a member of staff, also known as a key worker, who will develop and build a bond with your child. They will keep an extra special eye on your child, and record how they get on during the day, from snack and sleep time to nappy changing and play time. Your key worker will help to ensure your child is settled and happy and they will share information with you, about your child's achievements.

Learning through play

Although our children in Mitzy’s are young, we still learn through play. We provide a range of activities that encourage interaction and participation and covers the 6 key areas of learning. As well as offering a baby led routine for the younger ones, we gently introduce structure to the room. Staff are friendly and always on hand to answer any questions.

Meal time is learning time

We enjoy a morning snack at 9.30am, lunch at 11.30am and an afternoon snack at 3pm. Children will be given an opportunity to explore and discover new foods and tastes, including different fruit and vegetables and textures; we will support children through weaning.

Sleep time

All Children sleep in their own cot. Our younger babies sleep on demand; our older kids are gently introduced to a routine of sleeping between 12-2pm.

Keeping you informed during the day

Parents can keep up to date with how your child is getting on at anytime by logging onto our online ‘My Nursery Pal’ system. There you can see how well they have slept, what they have eaten, their toilet visits and their mood, as well as any other information that we think you will want to know about, You can log on at anytime throughout the day, to check how your little one is getting on.

Main Goals

To help our children meet their milestones through play and planned activities.
